A black body is a sort of hollow space that absorbs all the electromagnetic radiation that falls into it and emits light in a specific spectral distribution related to its temperature. The radiation spectrum emitted changes depending on the temperature the body reaches, and indicates the distribution of energy over the various colours of thermal or light radiation.
